Alex Bray signs on for 2023/24 season

2022/23 Managers Player of the season continues his journey in blue.

Chippenham Town FC are delighted to announce this evening that winger Alex Bray has signed on for the 2023/24 season.

Alex is one we are over the moon to get done. Now a stalwart of the dressing room heading into his 4th season as a Bluebird. His versatility has arguably been his biggest strength over the last couple of seasons being deployed as a winger, a wing back even a second striker at times and always gives you a solid performance. His tricky feet and pace frightened defenders up and down the National League South last season and can his goal contributions both in terms of scoring and assists will once against be vital for the Welsh Winger.

Manager Gary Horgan had this to say on retaining Bray.

We’re really pleased to have Alex back. He was quite rightly my player of the year last season and finished the campaign leading the way in goal contribution made all the more outstanding given his versatility and being asked to play numerous positions. We’re delighted he remains at the TSS, Welcome back AB.

On signing for the 2023/24 season, Alex had this to say…

Everything about the club, from the fans, management to the team made the decision to come back for another season a no-brainer. The quality of players we have and added will put us in a great position for next season. Hopefully another record-breaking season for us… up the Bluebirds!
