Young midfielder has signed terms for the 2023/24 season.

Chippenham are delighted to announce that Caine Bradbury has agreed terms and signed on for the 2023/24 season.

Caine has been with Chippenham in some guise since he was a very young boy, coming through the academy system under Joe Sharples, Caine was thrust into prominence with the first team towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign when Gary Horgan took the reins and playing significant minutes in both the regular season and the playoff games against Dartford and Ebbsfleet.

As we have seen from Bradbury, he is a bit of a box office player with goals from distance his forte and lethal from dead balls. A one man ‘Goal of the Season’ show when he’s on it, supporters will remember fondly from last season his strikes against the likes of Taunton, Dulwich and of course, that stunning free kick against Tonbridge at the end of the season. Caine also scored a vital winner against Met Police in Chippenham Town’s record-breaking run to the FA Cup 2nd Round starting both games against Lincoln and Burton.

The talented youngster also performed well at the End of Season Awards narrowly missing out on Goal of the Season and edging out Will King, Leighton Tuodolo and many others for Young Player of the Year. Caine will be looking to build on his great start in football and push on with the Bluebirds.

Gaffer Gary Horgan had this to say on bringing back Caine.

Caine had an excellent breakthrough year last season and scored some important and spectacular goals. We’re delighted that ‘one of our own’ continues his football journey with us and I am looking forward to seeing him improve again this season.

We caught up with Caine, here’s what he had to say on re-signing for the 2023/24 season.

Buzzing to have signed on another season at my home town club. Playing my first full season last year was very enjoyable and I’m excited to get back playing in front of the fans and pushing for even more success.

So, expect to hear the stands ringing once again with chants of ‘he’s one of our own’ because for the 2023/24 season, Caine Bradbury is a Bluebird!
