Burton Albion – Chairman’s message to supporters

Published: at 10:00am

A message from Neil Blackmore

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who travelled to Burton Albion yesterday and for your support of the players, which was absolutely magnificent throughout the entire game.

Sadly, the result was not what we had hoped for and brings our record-breaking run in this season’s Emirates FA Cup competition to an end. It would be remiss, however, not to congratulate Gary Horgan, his staff and all the players for an outstanding effort, and I do so on behalf of the Board and our supporters. I also add the Board’s thanks to all our general staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the successful conclusion of the arrangements for all the Club’s ties, both home and away, this season.

Yesterday’s support at Burton Albion was exceptional and I would like to encourage each and every one of you to continue to show that support by getting behind the players as we re-focus on the Isuzu FA Trophy and, of course, our league programme going forward. As things stand, this latter sees Ebbsfleet Utd as our next home visitors on Saturday 10th December 2022 and it would be good to see as many of you as possible at that game.

Despite the result, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday and I look forward to seeing you all again very shortly.
