Chippenham again fielded a mixture of their first team squad, under 23’s and trialists.
The first chance fell to a Bluebird trialist who fired over on two minutes.
City opened the scoring on the quarter hour mark when Joe Law found Olly Thomas who fired home.
Midway through the half Bluebirds Keelan Byrne shot over. City doubled their lead on the half hour as Sam Pearson found Tommy Backwell who controlled the ball well before firing home.
Will Henry then did well to take the ball off a Robins’ players toes.
On thirty six minutes Joe Hanks’ free kick was just over.
Four minutes later a further Hanks free kick was dropped by the keeper but Will Richards’ headed effort from the loose ball went just wide.
Before the break a Bluebird trialist caught the visitor’s keeper off his line but his shot was just too high.
On fifty minutes substitute Matt Jones’s cross saw a trialist shoot over.
Hanks’ cross cum shot on fifty four minutes was then saved by the keeper and a minute later Hanks shot over.
Noah Coppin’s run and angled drive was also blocked by the keeper.
Just before the hour mark Henry made two good saves in quick succession before City hit a post.
On the hour mark a Bluebird trialist shot over before City wrapped the game up ten minutes from time with a third from Seb Palmer-Houlden after being set up by Ewan Clark.
