Lewis Colwell signs for The Bluebirds

Full back signs on ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Chippenham Town Football Club are pleased to announce the addition of Lewis Colwell ahead of 2024/25!

The 18-year-old has featured and impressed in several of our pre-season friendly matches so far.

Colwell joins us from Plymouth Argyle, a club he had been at for 10 years, and joins The Bluebirds for his first taste of men’s senior football.

He captained Argyle’s U18’s side to a successful double winning season in 2023/24, taking both the EFL Youth Alliance and Merit League One titles.

Primarily playing as a full back, Colwell is known for his involvement in crosses and goal opportunities.

Speaking on his new teammates, Lewis said:

It feels a privilege to be here … To walk into a new dressing room and new environment, and to fit so comfortably, and feel like you’re at home already is a really good feeling
