MATCH PREVIEW: vs Havant & Waterlooville, Mon 30th Aug 2021
We preview our upcoming National League South fixture against Havant & Waterlooville
So, after the dramatics of Slough where the Bluebirds took all three points courtesy of a late winner by Ross Stearn, we turn our attention to Bank Holiday Monday and the visit of Havant & Waterlooville FC.
The unbeaten Bluebirds welcome Paul Doswell’s side, themselves on an unbeaten start to the season with two wins from two against Hampton and Richmond and Welling.
Havant are no strangers to success at this level having won the division only a few short years ago and will no doubt expect to be there again when push comes to shove with the assets at the disposal of Doswell and the Hawks.
After a tough game at Slough, Chippenham don’t have anything to report except perhaps a little fatigue however, the squad is fully ready to rotate as per Mike’s plan with fresh legs ready to replace the aching limbs of those who fought so valiantly to bring back the three points from Slough.
Previous meetings between the sides are not hard to come by either, with Havant coming out on top the majority of the time as you would expect, this is certainly a huge test in front of the home crowd, for the first time at the TSS Stadium this season.
