The Bluebirds recorded their second league double of the season as they remained in sixth position.

The only goal of the game came seven minutes from time courtesy of Jordan Young who celebrated making his move from Gloucester City permanent with a spectacular 35 yard effort.

The Bluebirds adapted better to the blustery conditions but they were unable to pierce the Beach Boys defence in the opening half.

Concord won two early corners that came to nothing before Miles Roberts saved a sixth minute free kick from Young.

On twelve minutes Alex Bray appeared to be brought down in the area by Aron Pollock but play was waved on.

Two minutes later Alfie Santos’s cross was met by Kieran Parselle but his headed effort skimmed the bar.

On the quarter hour mark another long distance effort from Young bounced off the crossbar.

Young’s free kick then hit the wall but the ball fell back to him and his shot was just high.

Just before the half hour mark Young’s free kick was blocked and the ball fell to Spencer Hamilton whose effort was charged down.

Concord finally mustered a chance on thirty three minutes but Lewis Simper’s shot was deflected behind.

Before the break Roberts again safely negotiated long range efforts from Young and Olu Lawal.

After the interval Young again saw an effort blocked whilst home appeals for a penalty after Callum Gunner went down in the box again proved fruitless.

Midway through the half Lawal sprinted through the Rangers defence but the ball became stuck under his feet and the chance went begging.

On eighty two minutes Tosan Popo’s cross presented Simpler with Concord’s best chance of the match but he blazed over.

A minute later Parselle’s long ball forward was not dealt with by Pollock and the loose ball fell to Young who let fly from over thirty yards catching Roberts out as the ball flew over his head and into the net. In stoppage time on-loan Swindon Town defender Harrison Minturn found himself with only Roberts to beat but the Concord keeper came out on top in the one on one.
