MATCH REPORT: Chippenham Town 1-0 Enfield Town | National League South | Saturday 7th March
CTFC win four home matches in a row thanks to Caine Bradbury’s second half strike.
We continue the winning ways at Hardenhuish Park with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Enfield Town, thanks to a decisive second-half strike from Caine Bradbury.
The opening stages were tightly contested, with both sides probing for an early breakthrough. Bradbury tried his luck from distance inside the first few minutes, though his effort was blocked, while at the other end Mickey Parcell fired wide from the edge of the box.
As the half progressed, the Bluebirds began to find their rhythm. Rashawn Scott looked lively down the left flank, cutting inside and testing the defence, while Anointed Chukwu forced a save from an acute angle after driving into the penalty area.
Enfield’s best opportunity of the half fell to Parcell late in the opening period, but his effort from the edge of the area was comfortably gathered by Will Henry as the sides went into the break level.

The visitors threatened soon after the restart when Ollie Knight’s cross was met by Sam Youngs, but his header drifted over the bar.
Chippenham continued to press and were rewarded on 55 minutes with the breakthrough. Scott beat his marker down the left and delivered an inviting cross to the back post where Caine Bradbury arrived to fire home and give the Bluebirds the lead.
We looked to build on our advantage as Luke Haines came close from a free-kick situation with a looping effort that was tipped over, while Bradbury and substitute Harry Parsons both tested the Enfield goalkeeper as Chippenham pushed for a second.
Parsons nearly produced a moment of brilliance late on when he attempted an audacious effort from inside the centre circle after spotting the goalkeeper off his line, though his shot lacked the power to trouble the net.
The closing stages were tense as Enfield pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but the Bluebirds’ defence remained resolute. Billy Phillips and Callum Wood both went close to adding another late on, while Parsons’ strike from range in stoppage time was well saved.
After four minutes of added time, the final whistle confirmed another valuable three points for Chippenham in front of a crowd of 707 at Hardenhuish Park.
