MATCH REPORT: Chippenham Town 2-2 Farnborough | National League South | Tuesday 25th November
CTFC fight back from two down to earn a point
Chippenham Town produced a spirited late comeback to earn a well-deserved 2–2 draw against Farnborough, with goals from Olaf Koszela and Tom Owen-Evans completing a thrilling second-half turnaround in front of the home crowd.
The Bluebirds started brightly, with Tom Mehew rattling the crossbar after just three minutes in a sign of attacking intent.
Soon after, Caine Bradbury slipped a clever ball through to Vaughan, who forced the Farnborough goalkeeper into an early save.
Despite Chippenham’s strong opening, Farnborough struck first on seven minutes as Dominic Poleon was fired a low shot past Will Henry.
He then doubled his tally shortly after the quarter-hour mark after following up on a good initial save from Henry .
The visitors’ quickfire goals left the Bluebirds with work to do, but the response was immediate: as we continued to move the ball well, creating shooting opportunities, and build momentum. Chances followed through Mehew, Anointed Chukwu and Bradbury, while Henry was alert at the other end to prevent further damage, and we went into half time two down.

Half-time: Chippenham Town 0-2 Farnborough
After the break, Chippenham continued to push. Touray flicked a low Vaughan cross goalward but saw his effort saved, while Mehew and Haines both tested the visiting goalkeeper from distance. Horgan made an attacking triple substitution on 70 minutes, introducing Parsons, Sady and Koszela, changes that proved game defining.
The impact was instant. Koszela halved the deficit in the 80th minute with a superb first-time strike on the edge of the area after Colwell picked him out. Parsons tested the goalkeeper soon after.
With three minutes of normal time remaining, the ball ricocheted around the Farnborough penalty area and fell perfectly to Tom Owen-Evans. The returning midfielder steadied himself before firing home from close range, sparking huge celebrations and securing a deserved equaliser for the Bluebirds.
Despite entering the penalty area a couple of times before the game’s end, a point would do for both sides on a cold night in Wiltshire.
