The Bluebirds recorded their first ever victory over third placed Worthing in an impressive display that matched their midweek victory at leaders Yeovil.

The opening twenty minutes was a very quiet affair with Toby Bull making a routine save on seven minutes.

Both sides failed to take advantage of a corner each before Chippenham opened the scoring on twenty three minutes as Aaron Amadi-Holloway headed home Luke Spokes’ corner.

Three minutes later a further Spokes flag-kick saw Dan Ellison’s effort blocked on the line.

Cameron Tutt hit a free kick over for the Rebels whilst Brad Dolaghan’s free-kick was palmed away for a fruitless corner by Will Henry.

Before the break a good run from Craig Fasanmade ended with Matt McClure shooting over whilst another free kick for the Sussex side saw Ollie

Pearce hit his effort straight to Henry.

Four minutes after the break Chippenham doubled their lead as a free kick evaded everyone but was returned to the far post for McClure to head home.

An effort from Spokes was then paddled away by Bull whilst Ed Williams’ shot was blocked.

Spokes then went on a fine run before cutting in and unleashing a shot that went over.

The Bluebirds wrapped the points up on sixty two minutes when a fine run from Fasanmade saw him square the ball to Ed Williams who cracked home a superb third.

As Chippenham sat back to protect their lead the Rebels came more into the game with two efforts from Jack Wadham and another from substitute Finlay Chadwick.

On seventy four minutes Wadham was fouled in the area and Pearce converted the resultant penalty.

Further chances fell to Pearce and Joel Colbran but neither were on target.

Two minutes from time substitute Tom Owen-Evans drew a superb save from Bull whilst in stoppage time Henry pulled off an equally impressive save from Danny Cashman.
