The Bluebirds first chance of note came on three minutes from a long range effort by Will Richards that was held by Myles Roberts.

Two minutes later Harvey Bunker’s effort was just wide.

The Bluebirds took the lead on eighteen minutes when Ross Stearn’s free kick was cleared to the edge of the area where Luke Russe let fly and his effort was turned in shot was deflected past Roberts.

Midway through the half the Bluebirds lost Alex Bray to a hamstring injury his replacement being Callum Gunner.

Just before the half hour Lamar Reynolds fired just wide for Concord after good work from Danny Green.

Three minutes before the break the Essex side wasted another chance when James Blanchfield shot over.

After the break Sam Blackman’s free kick hit the Bluebird wall and Reynolds follow up effort was high whilst Aron Pollock headed against a post.

Midway through the half Reynolds again wasted a good opportunity for the hosts as he fired against a post.

On seventy minutes Marlon Jackson failed with an effort but on seventy six minutes Stearn found Jackson who superbly volleyed home to double the advantage.

On seventy eight minutes the Concord defence rebuffed another Jackson effort and Harvey Bunker’s follow up went over the bar.

Reynolds then picked out Joe Payne but again the final shot failed to trouble Will Henry.

On eighty five minutes substitute Joe Hanks was fouled in the area after a good ball from Jackson and Stearn converted the resultant penalty.

In stoppage time a superb run by Alefe D’Abadia brought a saving tackle from Ollie Kensdale.
