MATCH REPORT: Dartford 0-1 Chippenham Town | National League South | Tuesday 13th February 2024
Chippenham gained revenge for their heavy 4-1 defeat to Dartford earlier in the season with a solid workmanlike display in Kent.
The match started a quarter of an hour late after Chippenham were held up in traffic.
The Bluebirds had the first chance in the second minute but Jake Evans’ effort was wide.
A minute later Matt McClure played in Craig Fasanmade who held off three defenders but from a narrow angle he fired wide.
The Darts first chance came on twelve minutes but Luke Coulson’s shot was easily held by Will Henry.
Dartford then had three successive chances with the middle one superbly saved by Henry.
The third attempt led to three successive Dartford corners which the Bluebirds dealt with.
On nineteen minutes Fumnaya Shomotun crossed to Paul Rooney who headed over.
On twenty four minutes Matt McClure’s shot was deflected behind by Joash Nembhard, the resulting corner saw Aaron Amadi-Holloway net but the referee had already blown up for a foul on the keeper.
On thirty two minutes Nat Williams won a corner for the Bluebirds but Evans’ flag-kick led to nothing.
Five minutes later McClure did well to dribble into the penalty area where he was upended but no penalty was given.

Five minutes into the second half Alex Wall shot wide for the Kent side.
Two minutes later a mistake by Nembhard saw Fasanmade run through to beat the onrushing Billy Terrell.
On fifty seven minutes a Dartford shot cleared the bar.
On the hour mark Tom Mehew’s shot was headed on the bar by substitute Max Statham and at the other end Dartford again failed to find the target with a shot.
On sixty two minutes Eddie Jones’ cross was just out of the reach of Fasanmade whilst McClure’s effort went wide.
On seventy one minutes Coulson’s shot was palmed by Henry and the Bluebird keeper was able to dive on the loose ball.
On seventy six minutes Fasanmade almost got on to a through ball but Terrell rushed out to clear.
On eighty one minutes Darts Jack Smith shot over. A minute later substitute Olly Box saw his effort well saved by Henry.
