MATCH REPORT : Dover Athletic 1-2 Chippenham Town | National League South | Saturday 14th March 2026
Chukwu brace seals dramatic late win at Crabble, our first away win since September
We grabbed all three points in dramatic fashion as a stoppage-time winner from Anointed Chukwu secured a thrilling 2–1 victory over Dover Athletic at The Crabble.

The Bluebirds started brightly and created the first opportunity of the afternoon inside three minutes when Harry Parsons laid the ball off to Rashawn Scott in the area, but his effort drifted over the bar.
Town continued to threaten as the first half developed. Parsons went close on multiple occasions, first firing narrowly wide after being played in by Scott, before seeing another effort roll agonisingly past the post. Chukwu also tested the Dover defence, forcing a save after Billy Phillips worked the ball into the area.
The hosts’ best chance of the half fell to top scorer George Nikaj, but his effort was comfortably gathered by Will Henry as the sides went into the break level.

Half-time: Dover Athletic 0–0 Chippenham Town
The Bluebirds carried their attacking intent into the second half. Scott danced past his marker and teed up Chukwu, whose deflected effort struck the post before being cleared away.
After continued pressure, the breakthrough finally arrived in the 73rd minute. Chukwu was played through on goal and remained cool under pressure, calmly rolling the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper to give Town a deserved lead.
Chippenham looked the more likely to add a second, with Tom Mehew seeing a low effort blocked and Scott forcing another save on the counterattack.
However, the hosts found an equaliser late on as Dover levelled with six minutes remaining. A long ball from the goalkeeper was met by an acrobatic kick to forward the ball into the penalty area, with Nikaj able to finish one-on-one.
The Bluebirds refused to settle for a point and continued to push forward. Scott twice threatened on the break in the closing stages, while the introduction of Sol Wanjau-Smith allowed CTFC to get forward.
Their persistence paid off in the 93rd minute. A driving run from Scott found Caine Bradbury in the penalty area, and subsequent sideways passes from Wanjau-Smith and Mehew allowed Chukwu to pop up once again and find the back of the net to spark jubilant scenes among the travelling support, sealing a first away victory in the league since April 2025.
