MATCH REPORT: Enfield Town 0-0 Chippenham Town | National League South | Saturday 29th March 2025
The Bluebirds played out only their third goalless draw of the season at relegation threatened Enfield Town.
The Bluebirds were the first to show as Tom Owen-Evans’ cross was played behind Matt McClure.
Will Henry was then forced to punch away Sam Youngs’ inswinging corner from under the bar.
A second corner for the hosts saw the ball flicked goalwards by Billy Leonard and Henry palmed it onto the crossbar.
Just after the quarter hour mark Harry Parsons and McClure combined to find Luke Spokes whose effort was blocked.
Lennon Peake then ran on to a long ball but miss-kicked his shot wide.
Midway through the half Alex Bray’s cross was only cleared as far as Spokes but again his shot was rebuffed by the London side’s defence.
A further Bray cross found the head of Jake Evans but keeper Joe Wright comfortably saved.
Before the break Wright had to be alert to tip a long Tyreke Johnson throw behind.

After the interval Peake fired a free kick wide whilst Jack Bates’ shot was way off target.
An Enfield corner on fifty four minutes then saw Henry make a fine double save.
Just after the hour mark Spokes pulled the ball back to Parsons but his shot was saved by Wright.
On sixty three minutes Enfield’s Youngs was booked for simulation in the area as the home side claimed a penalty after he collided with Freddie Grant.
Midway though the half Leonard’s cross was met by Bates but his effort was off-target.
Nine minutes from time an Enfield free kick saw several players in the net and claims for a goal and a handball both fail as Chippenham cleared their lines.
Bates then hit another effort very wide whilst in stoppage time a Spokes free kick was headed over by the home defence.
From the resulting corner the ball eventually landed at Caine Bradbury’s feet but his curling shot was superbly kept out by Wright.
