MATCH REPORT: Hemel Hempstead Town 0-2 Chippenham Town | National League South | Tuesday 5th December 2023

The Bluebirds put in a polished performance in Hertfordshire as two first half goals secured the points.


The Bluebirds were the first to show on four minutes when Caine Bradbury and Craig Fasanmade combined to present Freddie Grant with an opportunity but he was denied by Craig King.

Two minutes later King was again to the fore as he saved from Ed Williams.

Chippenham took the lead on sixteen minutes when Eddie Jones crossed and Fasanmade fired home against his former side.

On twenty four minutes Bradbury’s free kick from twenty five yards went wide.

On thirty six minutes Will Henry made a brilliant save from Tarelle Whittaker and from the resulting corner Aaron Amadi-Holloway blocked the ball on the line from a Tudors header.

Six minutes before the break a shot from Josh Hill went wide.

Two minutes later a cross from Josh Williams was headed over by Alfie Matthews.

Henry then saved an effort from George Williams. Matthews then played in George Williams who hit the post.

Chippenham doubled their lead in first half stoppage time with a fine strike from Ed Williams.

In the opening minute of the second half Fasanmade shot over the bar whilst at the other end Whittaker saw a shot blocked.

The Bluebird defence then blocked another effort from the home side.

On the hour Ed Williams’ cross found Fasanmade virtually on the goal line but the ball fell awkwardly and the chance was lost.

A minute later Henry saved a shot from Whittaker. King then pushed Fasanmade’s angled shot behind for a corner.

On eighty three minutes George Williams free kick was pushed out for a corner by Henry whilst Matthews then failed with a diving header.

George Williams’ weak shot on the turn was easily saved by Henry.
