
MATCH REPORT: Maidstone United 3-0 Chippenham Town | National League South | Saturday 15th March 2025
The Bluebirds went down to their fourth successive defeat, although all four opponents have been in the play-off places.
The Stones were the first to show as a long throw reached George Fowler whose shot was deflected onto a post.
As Chippenham failed to clear Luke Spokes cleared Tom Leahy’s headed effort off the line.
On eight minutes a Maidstone free kick was met by Jordan Higgs but his header went straight at Josey Casa-Grande.
On the quarter hour mark Chippenham’s first chance fell to Tyreke Johnson but his shot went straight to Alexis Andre Junior.
Midway through the half a defensive mistake saw Maidstone hit the cross bar through Aaron Blair.
On twenty five minutes Casa-Grande pulled off a good save to thwart Leahy.
Just after the half hour the ball broke to Sol Wanju-Smith but he fired wide.
Before the break a Maidstone cross flashed across the area but eluded any home player.
In stoppage time good play from Tom Mehew saw a Matt McClure shot deflected behind.

After the break two early free kicks for the Stones saw the second one end with a shot going over.
At the other end Spokes’ effort cleared the bar.
The Stones took the lead just before the hour when George Fowler headed home from a Sam Corne corner.
The Kent side doubled their lead midway through the half as Charlie Seaman’s cross field ball found Corne who played in Wanju-Smith who swept the ball home.
A quarter of an hour from time Caine Bradbury’s shot was blocked by the home defence.
The home side scored their third eight minutes from time when Seaman won the ball and found Corne who battled in the box to set up substitute Shaq Coulthirst to score.
