These two sides met at the same stage last season in Wiltshire when the Bluebirds edged victory on penalties after extra time couldn’t separate the two sides in a 2-2 draw.

Another tight encounter saw the Bluebirds behind at the interval, but a much improved display after the break brought an equalizer.

The home side were very quick out of the blocks as Tony Lee failed with a one on one in the first minute as he shot wide.

Lee then pulled the ball back for Jack Dickson whose shot was superbly saved by Will Henry.

On five minutes Lee’s shot was saved by Henry.

Chippenham’s first effort of note came on nineteen minutes when Alefe D’Abadia’s cross saw Dan Griffiths’s effort hit the crossbar.

Poole took the lead on twenty seven when Corby Moore’s corner was cleared to Dan Bartlett whose thirty five yard shot was spilled by Henry and Luke Burbidge turned the loose ball in.

On thirty five minutes Luke Russe netted at a corner but his effort was ruled out for handball.

Two minutes later a Poole free kick was met by Lee but his effort deflected off a Bluebird defender to Henry.

Three minutes before the break D’Abadia’s cross found Harry Warwick whose effort was held by Mark Childs.

Six minutes into the second half Bartlett should have doubled the Dolphins lead but he toe-poked his shot straight to Henry.

The ball moved to the other end but D’Abadia wasted a good opportunity to equalize. On fifty seven minutes Chippenham appeals for a penalty were waved away but Poole failed to clear and Alex Bray took advantage to equalize.

On sixty three minutes Lee’s shot  was held by Henry.

On seventy eight minutes Harry Warwick’s shot was held by Childs. Bluebird skipper Kieran Parselle saved the Bluebirds when he blocked a goal bound effort.
