Published: at 11:00am

The Bluebirds recorded their first points of the season as they left the sea-side with all three points.

Weymouth were the first to show after three minutes when a free kick on the edge of the box ended with Charlie Rowan heading just wide.

Chippenham had the ball in the net three minutes later after Billy Terrell blocked Harry Parsons’ shot and Tyreke Johnson netted the loose ball but it was ruled out for off side.

On eleven minutes good work from Will King and Will Dawes saw Johnson shoot straight at Terrell.

At the other end Malachi Linton found Tom Bearwish whose effort went wide.

Just after the quarter of an hour the Bluebirds were forced into a change as Caine Bradbury replaced the injured Jake Evans whilst at the same time the Terras brought on Euan Pollock for Ben Greenwood.

Within a minute of coming on Pollock’s shot was deflected behind.

Dawes’ cross midway through the half found Parsons but his shot on the turn was off target, whilst Terras’ Leo Hamblin saw his shot blocked.

The Bluebirds opened the scoring on thirty two minutes as Dawes and Lewis Colwell combined to find Parsons who in turn found Luke Spokes who curled home a superb left-footed shot.

Two minutes later Will Henry superbly blocked from Linton, whilst Hamblin fired over from the ensuing play.

Before the break Linton’s downward headed effort was just wide of a post.

A clash before the break saw Parsons and Weymouth’s Andreas Robinson both booked.

Before the break Corey Johnson found the net for the Dorset side but that too was chalked off for off side.

A minute later Chippenham winger Johnson was also cautioned.

Just before the hour the Bluebirds’ Colwell was booked, whilst shortly afterwards Dawes had to be replaced through injury by Rex Mannings; Genesi’s free kick then went straight at Henry.

On sixty five minutes substitute Matt McClure’s headed effort was tipped over by Terrell; McClure then headed wide from a corner, whilst at the other end Rowan blazed over from the six yard box.
