The opening half saw Chelmsford make most of the running as Cameron James shot wide in the opening minute.

On nine minutes Jordan Young’s shot from distance was off target.

Two minutes later Louis Dunne’s curling shot was held by Will Henry.

On sixteen minutes James shot across the face of goal.

Midway through the half a deep free kick saw Kieran Parselle’s headed effort saved by Jacob Marsden.

Luke Russe blocked a twenty seventh minute shot from Dunne.

Just before the half hour Charlie Sheringham controlled the ball before firing into the net but although the referee initially gave the goal it was eventually ruled out following a hand ball decision by one of his assistants.

Chelmsford then won three corners in three minutes the second one seeing Dara Dada-Anite’s shot blocked.

Before the break a cross from Young saw Joe hanks fail with a headed effort whilst at the other end Eduino Vaz shot wide.

Three minutes after the break Sheringham’s through ball found James whose effort went across the face of goal.

On fifty one minutes Callum Gunner’s long range shot was blocked by Christian Frimpong. Vaz then fired wide for the hosts. On fifty five minutes Young lifted the ball over Marsden but his shot also cleared the bar.

Ten minutes later Alfie Santos ‘s shot hit the side netting. Four minutes later Sheringham also saw his effort go into the side netting.

Dada-Anite then wasted a good opportunity, whilst Tom  Blackwell’s shot was saved by Henry as Chelmsford continued to press.

Ten minutes from time Blackwell’s corner was flicked over by Sheringham.
