Reece Fleet joins the Bluebirds
The experienced midfielder joins us for 2025/26
Chippenham Town are delighted to announce the arrival of Reece Fleet, following his departure from Oxford City.
Fleet is our second addition to the squad and is an experienced central midfielder with over 300 matches at Step 2 (National League North/South).
Upon signing, he said:
“I am really excited to be here and have a new challenge and a new environment,
“Speaking to Gary [Horgan], he expressed his plans for the new season, and it was something that I really want to invest in.”

Fleet was most recently club-captain of Oxford City, where he had been for the last 10 seasons making over 400 appearances for the Hoops, placing him 6th in their all time appearance list!
He started his career at Birmingham City’s youth setup with his first taste of men’s football at then National League North side Solihull Moors, for whom he played 96 league matches. Following his departure with the Moors he then joined up with Oxford City. He would be a part of a core Hoops side that saw both league and cup records broken!
In 2021/22 , like us, Oxford would be losing Playoff Semi-finalists but they found redemption the season after as they defeated Worthing and St Albans, with Fleet scoring the opener in the final, to reach the National League for the first time.
Fleet also tasted cup heroics, as he has reached the First Round Proper of the FA Cup five times in his career with the most impressive being a 2:1 against Northampton Town in 2020 and a narrow extra-time defeat to Shrewsbury to deny a Third Round appearance!
