New Gulls signing Dan Holman twice hit the woodwork inside the opening quarter of an hour.

Home skipper Armani Little fired just over nine minutes before the break as Chippenham failed to make any significant headway up front. Torquay opened the scoring five minutes after the break Keelan O’Connell crossing for Holman to head home.

Six minutes later Chippenham gifted their hosts a second as the Bluebird trialist keeper hit his clearance against Holman who went on to chip the ball home. Substitute Gabby Rogers hit the third when his thirty yard shot deflected into the top corner.

Chippenham finally mustered a shot on goal five minutes from time but Mark Halstead pushed the effort behind.
