Tyreke Johnson departs CTFC

The winger departs having scored 8 times for us!

We can confirm that Tyreke Johnson will depart Chippenham Town Football Club, as he moves to Australia to peruse a footballing opportunity.

Tyreke joined us in 2023, having departed from Chelmsford, and the moment he landed in blue he was taken to by supporters.

In his first competitive match for us, a 1-0 against Aveley, Johnson netted an audacious cross-cum-shot to confirm a fantastic debut. He would do the same again that season from almost the exact same position in a 4-1 victory over Welling, in which Johnson would net again rounding off a 12 pass move!

23/24 also saw Johnson net an important goal in a cup competition, as he thundered in to complete the comeback in the Wiltshire Premier Shield.

As 2024/25 dawned, so did a new position for Johnson with a switch to left back. This would not hinder his ability to bomb forward, as a staple of 24/25 would be a deep Johnson cross. His late runs into the box culminated in a great strike away at Hampton & Richmond Borough in February.
