Will King signs extended contract

The youngster signs on for 25/26.

Chippenham Town Football Club are delighted to announce an extension to Will King’s contract, seeing him through to the end of 25/26.

The contract also includes an extension for a further year, into 26/27

The 22-year-old graduated from our academy and this season is his third of regular league action for us, and in all competitions he has played exactly 100 matches!

Upon signing King said:

Happy to be a bluebird again for next year and ready to hit the ground running in pre season after a frustrating end to the season for me personally.

Massive thanks to the staff for this year and proud to be representing Gary and the club next year. Up the bluebirds!

Will is a graduate from our fantastic academy, and academy manager and first team coach Joe Sharples had this to say:

Congratulations to Will on his new deal.

It’s been great to see how he’s progressed from when he joined at 18 and to earn another new deal is recognition on how important he is to this club both now and moving forward.

Having made over 100 National League South appearances at only 22 years old is something he can be very proud of and he serves as a great example to our players in the academy of the pathway there is and how to maximise the opportunities given.

From his last minute equaliser at St Albans in 2022, to playing a part in our best moments of recent seasons Will King is a fan-favourite amongst supporters.
