Will King signs terms for 2023/24 season

Published: at 11:58am

Versatile youngster has committed to The Bluebirds for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Returning to the Bluebirds for the 2023/24 season is another one of the homegrown talents, Will King.

Like Caine, coming through the academy firstly at Swindon Town and then Chippenham Town, King was touted from early doors to make an impact in the first team. Coming into the side around the same time as Gary Horgan took the reins, King did make a few appearances earlier in the season but got a real run of games in and around the 1st XI in the run to the playoffs.

A versatile player that can operate in multiple positions he is going to be another very useful addition to the squad for the upcoming season.

Manager Gary Horgan has the following to say.

Will is another product of our Bluebirds Academy and he had a fantastic season last year. He showed real versatility with some quality displays at left back and just got better and better as the season went on. With close player season movements, he’ll get the opportunity more this season to stake a claim in his favoured midfield role and I’m looking forward to seeing what improvements and what we can achieve working together

We caught up with Will just after putting pen to paper.

I am delighted to be back with The Bluebirds for the oncoming season, especially with it being my home town and can’t wait to see some familiar faces and can’t wait to welcome the new ones!

Hoping to build on a positive season from last year for me and the team and push on even further. I’ll be looking forward to seeing the fans back at #TheTSStadium, up The Bluebirds!

Well, there you have it folks, another home town lad with the rallying cry of getting the fans to unite behind this group and see how far we can take it. Grab a mate, bring your partner, take your kids along and watch Will King pull his home town kit on for the 2023/24 season!
