MATCH REPORT: Chippenham Town 0-1 Weston-super-Mare
CTFC taste defeat in the FA Trophy
CTFC have exited the FA Trophy following a defeat to fellow National League South side Weston-super-Mare.
In the opening minutes, Reece Fleet played a free kick short to Owen-Evans from deep who delivered a first time cross for Haines to head it centrally looking for a blue shirt but Weston cleared their lines.
Weston put a low ball into to the box for Britton to place it into the bottom left corner which forced a great save from Will Henry.
Weston ,starting to ask questions of Chippenham back line, and Britton received the ball inside the Chippenham box with a few neat touches which helped Henry to close the angle for the save and the ball to go out of play for a corner.
Luke Coulston whipped a free kick into the box for Callum Woods to lose his man and put the ball in the back of the net.
Straight from the restart, Lewis Colwell passed the ball out wide who puts a dangerous ball towards the far post for Chuckwu to put the ball in the side netting.
Birch won the ball back for Weston in the Bluebirds box and gets past Luke Haines and forces led Henry to make a good save with his legs.
Parsons won the ball back in a dangerous position who lays it for Owen-Evans who took an ambitious effort for it to clip the crossbar.
We then started to put pressure on the Seagulls as Owen-Evans received the ball from 20 yards and shot with Max Harris making a comfortable save.
Owen-Evans then played the ball to Chuckwu on the edge of the box who spun past his man to get a shot off which goes just wide of the post.
We ended the half the brighter side as Sady put in a deep cross into the box, following a clearance from a Chippenham corner onto Parsons’ head and his shot goes just wide.

We started to control the possession at the start of the second half and on the 60th minute the ball
A pass found Lewis Colwell out wide, who put a cross towards the far post with the ball going not far over Tom Owen-Evans’ head.
A niscommunication between Owen-Evans and Bradbury put Louis Britton through on goal with good defending from Jac Poffley to slow Britton down which allowed Haines to put in a great recovery challenge.
Chippenham went on the counter attack and the ball finds Will King who drove into the box and loses his footing in front of goal.
After a nice spell of possession late on Mehew played a lovely through ball which finds Vaughan who squared it across to Touray, but his six yard shot was deflectedwide for a corner.
Mehew clipped the ball in from deep which found Touray whose header was flicked just wide of the post.
Late on, Chippenham put pressure on Weston’s defence in stoppage time with Koszela putting a dangerous cross in the box but was cleared towards Haines which his half volley from the edge of the box is put over the bar.
The last attack of the game goes to Weston as Waite finds himself one on one with Will Henry who produces a strong hand for the ball to go out for a corner.
