The Bluebirds have flown to Mallorca for the sixth edition of the competition

The Junior Academy of Chippenham Town have the fantastic opportunity to travel to Mallorca for the East Mallorca Cup, which began today!

Chippenham White 2–3 Sporting Lisbon (Friendly)

Goals: Lucas, Jasper (p)

After a gruelling ten‑hour journey, Chippenham White kicked off their tournament campaign with a friendly against a technically gifted Sporting Lisbon side.

A bright CTFC start was rewarded when Lucas pounced to give Chippenham a deserved lead, capping off a confident opening spell. Sporting soon showcased their quality by striking the crossbar twice as they grew into the contest. Their pressure told just before the interval, with two quick‑fire goals turning the game on its head and sending Chippenham into the break trailing.

Refusing to be discouraged, Chippenham emerged for the second half with renewed purpose. Their persistence paid off when Bobby’s sharp footwork drew a foul inside the box after a weaving run through the Sporting defence. Jasper stepped up and coolly converted from the spot to level the match.

As the game entered its final stages, the effects of the long day began to show. Sporting capitalised with a late winner, edging a tightly contested encounter played in excellent spirit throughout.

Though narrowly defeated, Chippenham’s performance—full of energy, resilience, and attacking intent—offered plenty of encouragement for the matches ahead.

Our matches tomorow include fixtures against UD Arenal & Juventus for CTFC Blue and TSV Hartberg & Porto Cristo and we wish the lads the best against some hugely reputable opposition! 💙
