We suffer defeat at home, in windy conditions.
CTFC fall to defeat at home to high flying Hemel Hempstead.
In a windy game we started the the better side, as we had the advantage of going down the hill as well as a strong wind blowing towards the cricket end.
We had the first chance, as Tom Owen-Evans fired over from a Luke Haines long throw.
On 11 minutes in would be Haines’ chance, but his effort from distance was well over.
Just two minutes later, Sol Wanjau-Smith played Owen-Evans through who’s shot from close range was saved by Micheal Johnson.
We came the closest in the first half on 21 minutes, as a floated Reece Fleet cross landed on the head of Dan Ellison. His header smashed against the post.

The opening chance of the second-half fell the way of Wanjau-Smith who did well to latch onto a pass from Tom Mehew, with the forward cutting past the goalkeeper before having a shot from close range saved.
On 65 minutes, a succession of Hemel corner proved pivotal, as Millar Matthews-Lewis nodded in from close range following George Williams’ delivery.
In the second half we struggled to make moves out of our own half, as Hemel’s high press and the wind limited our options.
The introduction of Ezio Touray & Olaf Koszela brought us forward, with the first having a powerful shot saved by Johnson from close range.
With the final moment of the game, CTFC delviered into the box via Will Henry, with every other player inside of the Tudors’ penalty area, it was smartly claimed by Johnson.
