The Bluebirds to take part in Chippenham Pride 2023

Chippenham Pride, Monkton Park, June 17th 2023

Chippenham Town FC are delighted to announce that they will be taking part in ‘Chippenham Pride’ on June 17th at Monkton Park.

Pride is a celebration like no other. Pride month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. And now Pride comes to Chippenham!

Chippenham Town FC have always considered themselves a family club with family values and the lessons of Pride, the acceptance of everyone whomever they are and the inclusivity aspect of the event is something we are very happy to throw our weight behind.

CTFC are joining up with CTFC Youth to provide a display table at the event on Island Park, Merchandise Manager Kirsty Noakes will also be in attendance with a plethora of merchandise available to purchase on the day. We will also be joined by Tom Tiner of Chippenham Town Youth to provide a “Beat the Goalie” competition with prizes on offer from Free Tickets to Giveaways of Merchandise and we also have some very special guests joining us from the First Team throughout the day so please, come on down and meet the lads, have a chat and a drink with us and enjoy Chippenham Town FC at Pride!

We caught up with Chippenham Town Commercial Manager, Simon Lawrence,

I am absolutely delighted that we are taking part in this event. From the second I heard that it was being put on in the town, I wanted to know how we could show our support. The message of Pride is one that I feel we can all get behind, we will all know someone in our lives that this cause will be VERY important for.

Football in my humble opinion, has a huge responsibility to be a part of these events as we strive to raise awareness, educate ourselves and support these causes that are so close to home for many in our Community. We are really looking forward to coming down, joining in the fun and we hope as many of our supporters will come down as possible to represent the club, see some of the lads, buy some merchandise and have a drink with us on what promises to be a fantastic occasion.
