CTFC Academy announce new Bristol base

Trials are available to apply for!

CTFC are delighted to confirm the opening of a new branch of CTFC U17-U19 Academy, out of Mangotsfield United, from the beginning of next season.

In an exciting new development for the club, the Bristol branch will sit alongside our existing facility at Stanley Park.

Academy Manager Joe Sharples has said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for everyone at Chippenham Town. Our academy has become a cornerstone of the club, with a strong track record of developing players who have gone on to represent the first team and beyond. The launch of our new satellite site in Bristol for the 2026/27 season is another major step forward. With a detailed full-time football and education programme in place, it will form a vital part of the club’s future in giving talented local players access to high-quality opportunities and a genuine pathway that simply hasn’t been available in the area until now.”

Dan Ellison, now of Bristol Rovers, earned valuable minutes in our first team following his time in our academy. He said: “I loved my time at the CTFC academy, working alongside likeminded players allowed me to develop my game to a high level. The quality of coaching at the level really puts the players at an advantage and makes Chippenham Town Academy a really good choice”

Neil Blackmore, Owner and chairman at CTFC Academy said : “We are delighted to get this programme off of the ground , and it is a real testament to the hard work put in over the last couple of years. We hope to inspire and develop the future Bluebirds from this new region”
