On Non-League Day a crowd of 681 saw the Bluebirds extend their unbeaten run to twelve games thanks to a late equalizer from substitute Joe Parker. Although Chippenham have now not won in seven games against the play-off chasing Sussex side.

The opening half was a cagey affair with the first chance not coming until the twelfth minute when a good move instigated by Ed Williams ended with Joe Hanks shooting over.

Two minutes later Owen Windsor saw his shot blocked.

Eastbourne then had two fruitless free kicks before Mehew’s eighteenth minute shot from distance was saved by Lee Worgan.

A minute later an Eastbourne free kick just outside of the area saw skipper Charlie Walker’s effort superbly tipped over the bar by Will Henry.

The resulting corner saw Bradley Barry’s headed effort blocked.

Jamie Yila’s cross to Jaden Perez saw the latter’s shot blocked, whilst an effort from Luke Pearce went over the bar.

Just before the half hour a Hanks free kick to Windsor saw his long range shot held by Worgan.

A Windsor corner then saw Hanks’ shot saved.

Chippenham went close on thirty six minutes when Williams’ driven cross was met by Alex Bray whose shot went across goal and narrowly wide.

The Sussex side took the lead two minutes before the break when a needless foul on Yila by Jones saw Walker dispatch the resultant penalty.

In stoppage time the Bluebirds had the ball in the net from a corner but it was disallowed for a foul on Worgan.
